The Fiat 500 is already a legend in its lifetime. it has sold more than 2 million examples globally. and has been one of the biggest selling city cars in Europe since it launched. now a new Fiat 500 is here, and it’s fully electric.
Only Pure Electric
As said above, the new Fiat 500 is a pure electric car. there will be no petrol version of this third-generation Fiat car.
Battery, Charging, and Range
This car is powered by a 42-kilowatt-hour battery. that all adds up to an official driving range of 199 miles. while a peak charging speed of 85-kilowatt hours means that the new Fiat 500 is capable of receiving an 80% battery top-up in around 35 minutes. although most owners will charge it as a standard 7 kilowatt home wall box which will deliver a full charge in around 6 and a half hours.
Performance
The new Fiat 500 generates 117 brake horsepower with its’ electric motor and front-wheel driving.
3 driving modes will be offered including the intriguingly named sherpa mode which adjusts maximum speed throttle response and climate control to deliver the best range possible.
One paddle driving is also offered by the variable brake regen system.
Price
The electric 500 isn’t is cheap. from launch it will be offered only as a convertible and in a high spec launch trim and with prices starting from under $40,000.
Rivals
This car is in contention with rivals including the Peugeot e 208, Honda e, and mini electric.
Interior
The pure electric Fiat 500 is rich with leather upholstery, and a variety of gloss and textured finishes characterize the dash.
Infotainment
A 10-inch touchscreen forms the main media interface and offers Apple car play and Android Auto as standard. there will also be a phone app for remote control of the car’s charging features and more.
Safety Features
The new electric Fiat hasn’t stint it on safety kit either. the 500 will get adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot warning, and 360-degree parking sensors. although this car does stay much the same size. so hopefully, you won’t need those parking sensors too much.
